The whole New Jersey coast seems to be wonderful beach, the one just off the inlet was busy today |

We noticed here and in Cape May that many people do not have grass or anything green in front of the house, just stones. |

Left Atlantic City before 6 this morning; weather was great early, but predictions were for higher winds later in the day, so we decided to leave early and travel our 60 miles in the Atlantic with calm winds and seas, and it worked. Very nice trip today. Saw dolphins, and perhaps a whale (or at least his tail). Got here just after lunch; somewhat of a challenge to dock with winds that had just come up plus current from the 4 ft plus tide, but we all did it. Went for a big walk around town found a bakery that had some really nice stuff calling our names. The town seems to be built around the inlet, a river, a creek, and several canals, so getting around town was a challenge. The marina here has barbques and a table, so Jim and Gloria, Wayne and I chose to use the barbque and eat at the table. The owner of the marina came out and asked if we would like some fresh fish, gave us enough fresh striped bass for our dinner. It was really good, he had caught it yesterday. It will be early to bed tonight, an early start tomorrow.
