Sunset Bay Marina and Anchorage, Stuart, Florida

Left North Palm Beach this morning with Dream Fever and Nomad; travelled along the intracoastal waterway to the mouth of the St. Lucie River, then came up the St. Lucie River as far as Stuart. The marina is just past the Roosevelt Bridge. Arrived just after noon. Scott and Marlene met friends. Nancy and Eddie, Wayne and I walked into Stuart and toured the little shops along the waterfront. Managed to find several places that sell ice cream, so got ice cream cones. There is a shuttle that takes people around town, it is just somewhat like an extended golf cart. Got a ride around town on it as well. Saw a dolphin playing around in the water in the marina here. Looked like he was just checking things out.
As we travelled today there was more open country, many large houses but they seemed to be on estate lots rather than built almost on top of one another. There were some beautiful homes with huge lawns, great landscaping along the way. Several did have the huge yacht docked along the waterfront or in a canal beside the house.
Little cooler today after the storms yesterday. Supposed to be warmer again tomorrow. We will leave here in the morning, travel up to Vero Beach where we will spend a few days.
