Loggerhead Vero Beach Resort and Marina, Vero Beach, Florida

Big storm this morning. It rained some during the night, then was calm this morning with big clouds building. Mid-morning the winds hit, then it started to rain hard. We were very glad we were tied to a secure dock in a protected harbour. By noon it settled down to just rain, then stopped this afternoon. We watched the storm and did some chores around the boat this morning, went shopping this afternoon. It is fun to have access to a car. Nancy and Eddie showed us some of the shopping areas they got to know well last year while they were preparing to leave on the loop.We had gotten some new cushions for the chairs on the aft deck, got some additional ones today. Visited some stores we are familiar with in Canada, others that we have not seen before. Toured a Target, and a Marshall's Home Store. Purchased some things we had been needing, again, easier with a car. Ate out tonight at Five Guys Hamburger restaurant. They only serve hamburgers and french fries, but they do them very well. A medium serving of fries served two of us with some left over, and a small hamburger was plenty for me. Air very calm tonight.
