Naples Boat Club, Naples, Florida

 Went for a trolley tour today with Nancy and Eddie; it took us up north of Naples and around town. We saw some very ritzy gated communities, and drove through some just a little less ritzy. The one we didn't enter was Pelican Bay; according to the driver Barbara Streisand, Steven Speilberg, Greg Norman and two other famous golfers, along with many other rich an famous, live there. There is an airport near the marina here, and there is an almost constant stream of small planes, private jets, going in and out.  We went past one house that is 48,000 square feet. The lot that it is on cost 8 million dollars.
We actually think that our boat has appreciated in value since being here. A tour boat goes by a couple of times a day and we overheard their commentary.They were pointing out this boat club saying that boats in here were worth between $600,000 and $6 million.
Went out for dinner tonight with Scott and Marlene from Nomad, Bill and Jane from Loose Stones, Nancy and Eddie from Dream Fever. Bill and Jane are staying on the same dock as we are; they completed the loop a few years ago, while Scott and Marlene drove over from Pelican Bay. We had a good evening, thoroughly enjoyed the company and the looper stories.
It was warm today, got breezy as the day went on. There is a cold front coming through, temperatures may go down somewhat, but still much warmer than in Canada.
